The law firm of Rosenn, Jenkins & Greenwald, LLP is pleased to announce that three attorneys have been selected to the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers list for 2013. Each year, no more than five percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor. They are:

Joseph L. Persico, Esq., managing partner of the firm – for Real Estate Law. For over 35 years, Mr. Persico has handled simple to complex real estate transactions, representing residential and commercial developers, conventional and public lending institutions, economic development agencies and corporate entities which have acquired and developed land and/or existing improvements for business operations. He has served as lead counsel in numerous multifaceted real estate transactions, involving both public and private financing and has also provided counsel to numerous landowners on oil and gas leasing issues. A former regional counsel to the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority, Mr. Persico is currently counsel to the Greater Wilkes-Barre Development Corporation, the Northeast Pennsylvania Alliance and the Greater Wilkes-Barre Association of Realtors. He is the past chairman of the Greater Wilkes-Barre Partnership, the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce and Leadership Wilkes-Barre. A graduate of University of Baltimore School of Law (J.D. 1975), where he was the Notes and Comments Editor for University of Baltimore Law Review, Mr. Persico received his undergraduate degree from Villanova University in 1972.

Robert D. Schaub, Esq., chair of the firm’s Litigation Department – for commercial litigation. Mr. Schaub has tried numerous cases to verdict and has handled numerous injunction hearings involving covenants not to compete. Mr. Schaub has been involved in multiple matters involving closely held and family owned businesses, and has been able to effectuate very favorable resolutions, with and without litigation, on behalf of clients. Most recently, Mr. Schaub has represented clients in all aspects of litigation involving Marcellus Shale issues, including leading disputes, will contests, and gas pipeline issues. A graduate of Catholic University School of Law (J.D. 1984), Mr. Schaub received his undergraduate degree from Lemoyne College (magna cum laude) in 1981.

Murray Ufberg, Esq., former Managing Partner of the firm – for Business law. For over 40 years, Mr. Ufberg has assisted individuals and businesses with their legal needs with respect to mergers and acquisitions, business formation, successorship, real estate and corporate finance law matters. Mr. Ufberg served as the firm’s Managing Partner for over 22 years (1984-2006). A former Commissioner of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Independent Regulatory Review Commission, Mr. Ufberg is a past member of the hearing Committee of the Disciplinary Board of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. He served on the Board of the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency and presently is a member of the regional Board of M and T Bank, as well as numerous charitable and civic organizations, including The Commonwealth Medical College, Misericordia University, Jewish Federation of Greater Wilkes-Barre, and WVIA TV/FM/HDTB. Mr. Ufberg is the past chairman of the Luzerne County Business Roundtable, the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Business and Industry and the United Way of Wyoming Valley. A graduate of Duquesne University (J.D. 1968, Phi Alpha Delta), Mr. Ufberg received his undergraduate degree from Bucknell University in 1964.
