Digital Sports Group today announced that The PFA Facebook fan page of Dimitar Berbatov has broken the 24% daily growth barrier making it the fastest growing Dimitar Berbatov page on Facebook. The Facebook page has become a thriving hub for the Fulham striker since its launch and now boasts a vibrant and rapidly growing community of fans. The Facebook page along with Dimitar Berbatov player profile on football.co.uk provide the only online location of the official PFA biography, lifetime stats, news and high resolution gallery.
The 31-year-old Bulgarian forward started out at Bulgarian side CSKA Sofia, joining the Armymen aged 17. In doing so, he followed in the footsteps of his father, Ivan, who also played for the club.
His talent quickly caught the attention of clubs on the continent, with Bayer Leverkusen making their move in January 2001. He switched to Tottenham Hotspur for a reported £10.9m five years later.
He joined Manchester United on transfer deadline day in August 2008, having long been courted by Sir Alex Ferguson.
Head of Operations at DSG, Matthew Tait had this to say “Dimitar Berbatov really has no shortage of fans after his performances for Fulham this season and we can see that by the success of his PFA Facebook page.”
