TRICENTIS and agosense Partner to Empower Customers with Broadest ALM Integration Platform

TRICENTIS, global leader in software test management and automation, and agosense, the leading ALM integration platform, today announced a new integration between TOSCA Testsuite and agosense.symphony

TRICENTIS Automated Software Testing
Together with agosense we offer an alternative way for TOSCA customers to exchange information between 3rd party ALM solutions. This is critical for global customers and centers of excellence where the entire ALM process relies on various tools.

This integration allows software test experts and test managers to easily exchange all artifacts of software testing – such as test requirements, test cases, execution lists and software defects – with other “best of breed” solutions in the application lifecycle (ALM). The integration is of paramount importance to ensure traceability and avoid redundancy. Once connected to the hub, customers now can take advantage of the market’s largest variety of adapters for other popular ALM solutions including HP, JIRA, Rally, and Polarion.

TOSCA Testsuite, the flagship solution of TRICENTIS, is the first enterprise software test management and automation solution to support hybrid test cases (manual, automated and partly automated) written in plain English. TOSCA’s seamless test automation covers both user interface (UI) and non-UI testing. With its leading, fully integrated Test Case Design and Test Data Management module, customers achieve the most effective test cases. TOSCA implementations reduce cost and time-to-market by up to 70% at even higher levels of risk coverage.

agosense.symphony works as an integration bus enabling bi-directional data exchange between the different ALM solutions via adapters. Using existing integration templates, customers may specify the configurations of artifacts to exchange along with the customized workflow. Set up time for new adaptors is typically very short, enabling testers to keep pace with their agile software development cycles and improving time to market.

According to Gartner Research Director Tom Murphy and Research Vice President Jim Duggan, “Although products are evolving from silos of function, most companies have several overlapping ALM solutions, rather than one. This reinforces the need for tools to work together, and for solutions that bridge the silos with workflow, reporting, etc. Furthermore, most companies will continue to need a mixture of application development solutions. The more diverse your business and technology, the more diverse the tools you will need to support delivery. Evaluations should place a high value on tool-to-tool integration mechanisms, using XML and representational state transfer (REST) or broadly adopted proprietary mechanisms.” (Magic Quadrant for Application Life Cycle Management, 5 June, 2012)

Wolfgang Platz, Founder and Managing Director of TRICENTIS, said: “TOSCA Testsuite enables enterprise customers to keep pace with their testing mandates while improving test coverage. Together with agosense we offer an alternative way for TOSCA customers to exchange information between 3rd party ALM solutions. This is critical for global customers and centers of excellence where the entire ALM process relies on various tools.”

According to Ralf Klimpke, Managing Director of agosense, “TRICENTIS customers can now take advantage of ‘best of breed’ ALM solutions without the effort of maintaining 3rd party integration and interfaces. agosense.symphony’s now broadened integration hub will even increase customers’ benefit from both TOSCA and agosense.symphony.”
