Whirlwind provided good customer service throughout the project.
Houston, TX (PRWEB) May 28, 2013
Houston-area metal building manufacturer and distributor, Whirlwind Steel Buildings, recently completed work on the 160’ x 250’ x 20’ Tellepsen Arena at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center in Katy, Texas.
For more than 20 years, the Houston-based Great Southwest Equestrian Center has provided a multipurpose event venue for a variety of notable local, national, and international equestrian events, including the Pin Oak Charity Horse Show, National Reining Breeders Classic (NRBC) and the Texas Winter Series.
As the third indoor riding arena to be added to the 80-acre facility, the building was named for the Tellepsen Family. Howard and Carolyn Tellepsen have supported the Great Southwest Equestrian Center since their children began riding at the facility over 20 years ago.
Noting the “very aggressive schedule” for the manufacturing and erection of the arena, Tellepsen’s Project Executive, Greg Stringer, praised Whirlwind Steel’s competitive pricing and delivery timeline. “Whirlwind provided good customer service throughout the project,” Stringer explained, adding that Whirlwind’s sales representative “… was great to work with and was readily available and efficient in answering our questions.”
Whirlwind Steel President, Ty Sturdivant, said he was pleased with the partnership between his company, Tellepsen, and the Great Southwest Equestrian Center: “There are a number of reasons so many equestrian arenas are built using steel, primarily the shorter construction time and wide interior spans metal construction allows. The Tellepsen Arena is a perfect example of what a well-constructed arena can offer equestrians, day or night, rain or shine.”
