Earlier today, Senior Vice President of Market America | SHOP.COM and creator of Motives® Cosmetics Loren Ridinger was one of 12 individuals in the Latin community to be recognized by Cosmopolitan for Latinas for making outstanding strides in her field.
Ridinger was honored, along with actress Michelle Rodriguez, Gilt.com co-founder Alexandra Wilkis Wilson and others, at a luncheon at the Hearst Tower.
Cosmopolitan for Latinas embodies Cosmo’s fun, fearless spirit with a Latina sensibility. Covering the latest news on men and love, fashion and beauty, health, family and entertainment, Cosmopolitan for Latinas speaks to the acculturated Latina consumer who cherishes her Hispanic heritage but is as likely to consume media in English as in Spanish. The magazine created the Fun Fearless Latina Awards to honor fascinating individuals in the Latin community who have made outstanding strides in their fields over the past year.

In addition to Ridinger, the full list of honorees selected by the magazine’s editors were: Michelle Rodriguez, actress starring in such blockbusters as The Fast and the Furious; Natalie Morales, co-anchor of the Today show; La La Anthony, creator of Motives for La La; Marlen Esparaza, Olympic Boxer and Medalist; Leticia Márquez-Magaña, molecular geneticist at San Francisco State; Erika Andiola, community organizer and activist; Alexandra Wilkis Wilson, co-founder Gilt.com; Maria Cervantes, non-profit fundraiser; and Magaly Chocano, CEO and Founder of Sweb Development. Shirley Diaz, founder of DreamGirls International Outreach and Mentoring Program was the reader winner and was named an “Honorary COVERGIRL” at today’s luncheon. Finally, the Fun Fearless Latino award went to Al Madrigal, comedian and correspondent on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.
