A “Winter Warning” is being issued to Fashion Boot and Shoe Designers in North America and Europe to submit their 2013 Fall and Winter Footwear designs for manufacture in order to have their new lines ready for the fall and winter shoe markets. With June approaching, Winnie Peng of cautions shoe designers and footwear importers with fall-winter collection of boots and shoes to get their orders placed now to avoid having pay higher shipping costs, or even missing the season entry altogether.

Footwear Designers will be happy to know that, whether for boots or shoes, still offers the lowest minimum quantities (MOQ) for production, in the footwear industry. warns that as temperatures around the US hit the 80’s and higher, it’s easy for shoe designers with new boot designs to lose track of time and procrastinate on getting their fall and winter boot and shoe collection designs into the shoe factory for timely shoe order submission, and that goes for footwear retailers and boot wholesalers who want to order their own brands as well.

“Every year we have two critical windows for shoe designers and footwear importers to begin making their shoes, boots and sandals to be ready for the start of the next season, and this is the critical moment for beginning work on the fall and winter boot and shoe collections,” says Winnie Peng of

Peng continues:

“There are two real areas of concern here, the first being to simply have enough time for making and, if necessary, adjusting prototypes in time to get in queue for actual full production in order to have footwear ready for the start of the season.

“The other big issue is to allow enough time for sea shipping as opposed to air shipping which, for large orders, can make a big difference in how much profit is actually made as, when possible, sea shipping is so much cheaper than if by air.

“Footwear Designers will be happy to know that, whether for boots or shoes, still offers the lowest minimum quantities (MOQ) in the footwear industry at 50 pair per style for a total order of 200 pair for production, provided certain similar elements are used in all four styles (for traditional footwear).

“This is always a very exciting time of year as new styles and even new designers make their debut and our in-house design team is already very busy translating the sketches that arrive daily into beautiful footwear.

“Even new shoe designers with no formal background have created their own growing brands with the help of our experienced team.

“As long as the designer has a good eye for what elements would look great together and can provide the necessary marketing and funding, there’s no reason that a life long love of beautiful and exciting footwear can’t be turned into a private brand that gains in value through the years.

“The important thing is to get started and, for either new or experienced designers an importers, to get those 2013 fall and winter footwear collection styles into the shoe factory for production now to be in time for the Fall and Winter Footwear Season.”
