It was reported by the BBC that the company, which is part of the Pennon Group plc, plans to put £20 million of the figure towards improving sewers and treatment works in Cornwall, Devon and Dorset in locations such as Mothecombe, Teignmouth, Torbay, Looe and Lyme Regis. £30 million of the budget is to be spent on maintaining 6,000 km of sewers, with £10 million on customer debt and assistance programmes. The project is being funded through efficiency savings, but is not to affect household bills.
