Thomson Lakes & Mountains has launched their summer holiday programme for 2014 with an increased focus on their successful Discovery packages. The programme will see eight new resorts available for summer 2014 providing customers a greater selection of destinations to visit which include Austria, Italy, Slovenia and Switzerland.

For next summer, Thomson increases the number of Discovery holiday packages giving customers more choice of resorts.

Customers can hop across to the Continent with Thomson Lakes & Mountains and immerse themselves in the things they love most while on holiday. Whether they want to stay a while or make it short and sweet, there’s a duration to suit them: be it 3 or 4 nights, one week, 10 or 11 nights, or even 2 weeks. And when one place isn’t enough, they can try a two-resort or even two-country holiday to get the most out of their time away.

Thomson Lakes & Mountains Summer 2014, features resorts in Austria, Croatia, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Slovenia, and Switzerland. It includes the entire range of holidays designed for different people and desires - from walking to relaxing in a deck chair by the lakeside, events from traditional festivals to jazz gigs, from luxurious hotels and apartments to comfortable guesthouses.

For next summer, Thomson increases the number of Discovery holiday packages giving customers more choice of resorts. These packages include flights, transfers, a week’s stay at a selected hotel and escorted excursions and other activities with prices starting from £505 (Hotel Obermair, Mayrhofen in Austria, departing 31 May 2014).

New for 2014

  •     Lake Garda Discovery: stay in Riva, Desenzano or Torri del Benaco; escorted excursions to Venice, a lake tour and a wine tour with wine tasting
  •     Classic Italian Discovery: stay in Torbole or Sirmione; escorted day trips to Venice, Verona and to the Dolomite mountains
  •     Lucerne Discovery: stay in Lucerne; escorted trips to Mount Rigi and Mount Pilatus, the Stanserhorn mountain and day on a steam boat on the lake.
  •     Jungfrau Discovery: stay in Wengen or Grindelwald; escorted tour of Interlaken’s best waterfalls, trip to the Jungfraujoch, Europe’s highest train station and to the Schynige Platte mountain

Thomson continues to feature a range of Platinum holidays to selected accommodation in picturesque locations offering high standard of service, excellent facilities and fine food. Examples are the four-star Hotel Casa Barca on Lake Garda (Italy) and the four-star designer Hotel Fliana in Ischgl (Austria), with a stylish design, straight and simple shapes, combined with elements of natural colours. Complimentary access to airport lounges in the UK as well as extra luggage allowance on Thomson Airways is also included.

All-inclusive holidays in Italy and Austria continue to be well-liked by our customers and for a week’s all-inclusive stay, prices are from £529 at the Hotel Royal Village in Limone (Italy) and from £675 at the Hotel Antonius in Kaprun (Austria) including flights and transfers.

Holiday prices start from £339 per person (based on five sharing) for a week self catering accommodation at the 3* Doria Apartments in Garda on Lake Garda, Italy, departure 7 May 2014 including return flights from Gatwick and transfers.
