Columbus, Ohio (PRWEB) May 30, 2013
In response to the needs of the resurgent U.S. auto industry, technology developer EWI is opening a regional office in Metro Detroit. The site will offer local manufacturers and suppliers convenient access to EWI’s services including applied research, manufacturing support, training opportunities, and strategic services. The office, under the direction of EWI’s Ron Brown, is located in Madison Heights.
EWI has long been recognized as the leading North American authority on materials joining and allied technologies in the transportation industry. For more than 25 years, auto makers and suppliers have turned to EWI for assistance in applying new technologies, improving efficiencies, refining products and testing processes.
“EWI is committed to supporting innovation in the auto industry by bringing its technological know-how directly to its customers,” says President and CEO Henry Cialone. “As the Michigan comeback continues to build, our Metro Detroit office will offer regional companies a local source for our services so they can quickly address rising demands for lighter and stronger materials, increased safety, higher productivity, and reduced costs.” Brown adds, “It simply makes sense to be close to so many of our key customers.”
The EWI Metro Detroit office will open July 1st. For more information, call EWI Business Development Manager Ron Brown at 614.688.5085 or 603.504.5148. He can also be reached via email at rbrown(at)ewi(dot)org.
