TravelhouseUK has progressed for regional interconnectivity across Africa with numerous air carriers from the UK. News reports published by The Herald on 30 April, 2013 indicate that Air Namibia has started flights between Harare and Lusaka this season.

The new route builds upon Air Namibia’s grasp over the growth of its operations, allowing clients to choose with a greater network of destinations while flying to Africa under Air Namibia. The launch comes in light of recent introduction of Harare being served from the airline hub of Windhoek, with Lusaka being a major regional destination near Harare.

The agency is also registered with Air Namibia, whose flights to Luanda can be booked with a call to agents available round the clock.

The flights are operating twice on a weekly basis for both Harare to Lusaka and Lusaka to Harare accordingly. The route became operative from the 1st of May. Air Namibia has allocated an Embraer ERJ 135 regional airliner for the purpose. The aircraft accommodates 37 passengers per flight in a single economy class category, allowing the airline with minimal losses in terms of excess capacity during low seasons.

Lusaka is the capital city of Zambia, and is the center of commerce, development and urban settlement in the entire country. It is located in the geographical center, and thus provides the main platform for accessibility in Zambia. It completely represents the culture and heritage of its indigenous people, with major institutions serving the purpose alongside leisure and amusement facilities.

Towards its outskirts, protected game reserves and parks provide the signature safari experience sought after by any visitor to Africa.

Whereas Harare is the tourism capital of Zimbabwe, and has numerous natural landmarks spread over its outskirts and suburbs.

Air Namibia is the flag carrier of the country of Namibia, and administers flight services among the continents of Europe and Africa.

The airline has based its hub of operations at Hosea Kutako International Airport located in Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia. It manages flights with a small fleet mostly consistent of regional aircraft. Despite enduring hardships persistent in the commercial aviation of Africa, the air carrier has remained in active service over the past couple of decades of its history.
