Texas Governor Rick Perry Appoints Fort Worth Resident to Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists

Joseph P. DeWoody, President of Clear Fork Royalty was recently appointed by Texas Governor Rick Perry to the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists for a six year term.

Texas Governor Rick Perry has appointed Joseph P. DeWoody from Fort Worth, Texas to the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists for a six year term which will expire on February 1, 2019.

Joseph P. DeWoody of Fort Worth is president of Clear Fork Royalty. He is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), and serves on the board of directors for the Texas Alliance of Energy Producers and the Oil Information Library of Fort Worth. He is involved with a number of community organizations, including: the Fort Worth Club, Fort Worth Wildcatter's, the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, Downtown Fort Worth Rotary, World Affairs Council of Dallas-Fort Worth, the Fort Worth Petroleum Club and River Crest Country Club. DeWoody received a bachelor's degree in Entrepreneurship and Master of Business Administration from Baylor University, where he was also lettered in football.

The mission of the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists is to protect public health, safety, welfare and the state's natural resources by ensuring that only qualified persons carry out the public practice of geoscience.
