With over 20 years of first-hand relationship experience, Sandusky Register advice columnist Eda M. Handly launches her first book - “Lessons I’ve Learned, No Nonsense Advice on Relationships” - THE essential ‘partner pathway’ to creating a healthy, lasting relationship in today’s world.
Before coming up with the seed idea for her book, Eda observed she was hearing a lot about relationship splits - whether the latest celebrity love triangle or yet ‘another’ divorce of an acquaintance. That begs the question; how can people improve their relationships to ensure they don’t end up as just another statistic? She endorses a strict philosophy, stating, “There is no such thing as a perfect partner, no such thing as a perfect relationship and they're certainly not easy. But if people are willing to have an open mind, it really doesn’t have to be as hard as everyone makes it.” Eda adds, “The divorce rate is at an all-time high and an even higher percentage of second marriages suffering the same demise,” (notwithstanding the number of relationships that don’t even make it to the altar). “Put simply, times have changed, relationships have changed and we have to change with them!”
In her book, Eda describes many lessons she has learned over the years in all areas of love and relationships. It’s all designed to lead you to that ‘enduring circumstance’ many people search for - but few ever find, which is due to what she calls “an over-abundance of misleading ‘antidotes’ peddled by idealistic ‘Love Gurus’.”
Attorney Rick Garand, an avid reader of her advice column in the Sandusky Register as well as her blog, says; “Eda has an intuitive way of understanding what is presented to her and more importantly, helps you make real sense of the often very difficult complications that come with relationships.” Entrepreneur and “Lessons ‘convert’”, Brian James calls it, “Essential EDAcation for all!”
Forget all the fluff and “grow from love” psycho-babble you’ve heard previously. “Lessons I've Learned…” is deep, raw, comical, and a uniquely revealing self-help book. It’s full of real-life experiences, common sense, and will change the way you think about relationships.
‘’No white picket fences - just real.’’ says Eda with conviction. “And all you need is to be open enough to start learning…”
“Lessons I’ve Learned…” is available now at Amazon.com and will soon be released in other locations and formats.
