This week, former founding President and CEO of Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, Eric J. Hall, revealed he has acquired a majority stake in Alzheimer’s Care Specialists, LLC and will be serving as Managing Partner of the firm. The long-time Alzheimer’s advocate made the public statement this week while announcing his plan to take Alzheimer’s Care Specialists, LLC and make it a haven for quality care and a model for other Alzheimer’s care-service based agencies in the market.

After stepping down as CEO for the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America in February, Hall has been embarking on an effort to provide new commentary and insight on Alzheimer’s disease and to help bring a stronger awareness to this devastating illness worldwide. According to a statement from Hall, this position with Alzheimer’s Care Specialists (ACS) is the next step forward in his quest to help shed light on Alzheimer’s care and research but mostly reflects his desire to get into the trenches and provide the best of care to individuals with Alzheimer ’s disease. Hall commented, “It has been a real desire for me to do more than talk about care. I want to continue to contribute to the creation of a model of specialized care for the Alzheimer’s population.”

Hall has dedicated the last 12 years of his life to the care of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and to helping raise awareness about this condition to the public. “The ACS is already a substantial provider of care services throughout New York State with plans for northeastern expansion and now ACS finds itself in a unique opportunity- to change the face of care, the quality of care provided to the Alzheimer’s population. My hope is that all we are doing at ACS will make a loving difference for the individual receiving care and a lasting supportive experience for the family. Perhaps ACS may become a model for other agencies to also provide specialized care”, stated Hall.

After the announcement, current President of Alzheimer’s Care Specialists, Rob Macedonio expressed his confidence in Hall’s new position. “All of us here at ACS are proud and honored to have Mr. Hall join our team. His experience as the former founding president and CEO of the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, national leadership in the field of Alzheimer’s disease and his passion for the cause is what makes him the perfect catalyst for the ACS to continue its vibrant growth. Our aggressive plans for the future include bringing the best to in home care but also to provide homes for care. Mr. Hall has the vision and the background to make this happen”, said Macedonio.
