Morris K9 Campus Announces Doga Classes for People and Their Dogs

Doga, yoga for people and their dogs, combines stretching, massage and meditation to promote wellness and strengthen the bond people share with their pets. Morris K9 Campus is offering new classes taught by a certified yoga instructor and dog trainer.

“Downward Dog” is no longer just a yoga pose for people. Dogs can now be brought into the experience with new Doga classes being offered at Morris K9 Campus. The next 4-session Doga class begins on June 5 at the dog training, agility and daycare facility located at 1 Aspen Drive in Randolph, N.J.

Doga is yoga for people and their canine companions, combining stretching, massage, and meditation for overall wellness. At Morris K9 Campus, Doga classes are uniquely designed to benefit both dog and owner. Taught by a certified dog trainer and certified yoga instructor, classes are balanced to meet the needs of people and their pets.

“Doga allows people to go through a basic yoga sequence and bring their dogs into the experience by incorporating canine stretches and massage,” said Robin Lash, dog trainer at Morris K9 Campus. “It is a relaxing experience for both the human and their canine companion.”

Doga promotes the physical and mental well-being of people and their dogs. Morris K9 Campus’s classes are also intended to be fun and to strengthen the bond that people share with their four-legged best friends.

“People get the benefits of yoga—stronger mind and body, improved flexibility, and reduced stress. Dogs benefit from massage and stretching by preventing injury and promoting relaxation,” said Lash.

The fee for the 4-session class is: $125. Advance registration is required and can be made by calling 973-252-5100.
