Community Music School in Buffalo offers children the unique opportunity to learn about the music of different countries.

Community Music School will kick off its summer season with a musical adventure called “Around the World in 10 Days” for children ages 5-12. This program will allow students to explore the musical instruments, traditions and songs of a different country each day while gaining hands-on experience with instruments. No musical background or training is necessary.

The program will be held on weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. from July 8 – 19, and will be repeated for another group of children from July 22 – Aug. 2. It will take place at Community Music School, 415 Elmwood Ave. in Buffalo’s Elmwood Village. For those who sign up by June 1, the two-week program costs $200. Sibling discounts are available. Registration is online at http://www.communitymusicbuffalo.org or by phone at 884-4887.

Community Music School teachers will direct the program, led by Christina Brown, an experienced music educator and chairperson of Community Music School’s childhood education department.
