Chicago, IL (PRWEB) May 29, 2013
Energy-conscious architects, builders, contractors, and code officials from across the Chicago area gathered at Priority Energy’s new office for an Open House event on May 15, 2013. The evening featured training sessions on the newly enforced IECC 2012 building codes and introduced cost effective ways in which industry professionals can meet the more stringent energy efficiency requirements for new construction and remodeling.
IECC 2012 building code changes and compliance sessions included prescriptive vs. performance paths to meet duct leakage requirements, ventilation options and water management systems. The importance of accurate Manual J, D and S plans for total system efficiency was also demonstrated.
Priority Energy also introduced their newest high efficiency product, Trio. Part of the EnviroDri Weather-resistant barrier system, ExoAir Trio, is a flexible polyurethane foam tape to seal around windows and doors. Once installed, the tape expands to create an air tight and water tight seal. EnviroDri, and EnviroDri Trio, is 97% more effective than traditional housewraps at stopping air and water penetration and making a home more comfortable.
Guests were invited to browse Priority Energy’s new training lab and showroom. “We want building professionals to feel they can send clients here to see Aeroseal, EnviroDri, Lifebreath, and Intellihot water heaters and other high efficiency, home comfort products,” said Robert Schildgen, owner of Priority Energy. “We have success stories and testing examples of how these systems have saved time and money for builders and homeowners alike.”
