“Casa Dorinda is an integral part of the community through its continuous support of both the United Way and our programs for at-risk seniors. Casa definitely makes a difference!” exuded Suzanne Danielson, Development Executive for the United Way.

Patterns do repeat themselves – Casa Dorinda receives the “Outstanding Non-Profit” award from the United Way of Santa Barbara for the second time since 2007. Nominated for its involvement in the local community, Casa Dorinda’s employee involvement campaign sought to be a vibrant advocate for senior issues through campaigns spearheaded by their employees.

United Way of Santa Barbara County hosted its 90th Annual Awards Celebration at the Four Seasons Biltmore Hotel in Montecito on Wednesday, May 15, 2013. The evening recognized local volunteers, businesses, non-profit organizations, schools, and individuals for their dedication to serving the community and supporting UWSBC's programs.

Nominated by those who have worked closely with Casa Dorinda throughout the years, this award not only speaks volumes for their approach to employee engagement also confirms their ethos of excellence in the quantity and quality of its services available to seniors so that they may continue to live their lives with dignity, security and as independently and fully as they are able.
