Kansas City Dream Factory Gala is sold out!

The Dream Factory, which grants dreams to critically and chronically ill children from the ages of 3 through 18 years of age, is celebrating its Gala event “A Night of Dreams Come True” Friday, May 31, 2013 at the Midland Theatre in Kansas City, Missouri.

Larry Moore, Bryan Busby, Lara Moritz and Len Jennings from KMBC Channel 9 will serve as the emcees for the evening, entertaining the audience with stories, laughter and making dream presentations to several children and their families. Several children, “Dream Speakers” will share what their fulfilled dream experiences meant to them. There will be cocktails (open bar), dinner, and dessert along with live musical entertainment from The Taxis. The celebration will end with a live auction conducted by the Nigro Brothers.

This is the 28th year for the Dream Factory’s Gala. It serves as the main fundraiser for the organization. “Every dollar raised through this event determines the number of dreams we’ll be able to present the following year,” says Audrey Scott, organizer for this year’s Gala.

Dream Manager and volunteer Frank Armato added, “This is truly an emotion-filled evening with Dream Factory families, volunteers and supporters coming together to celebrate this 100% volunteered organization. It’s a true blessing and honor for us to provide dreams to an ill child and their families who would never have the means to do so otherwise.”

Armato added, “There’s good news and bad news. The Gala is sold out and that’s great, but there are always more children who have dreams we’d like to grant, as well as plenty of ways for people to get engaged and assist with this amazing organization.”

The Dream Factory is a non-profit organization dedicated to granting dreams to chronically ill children ages 3 to 18. It relies on the continued support of the individuals and businesses of the Greater Kansas City community.
