Wiley at #BEA13 Kicks Off Tomorrow, May 30

A Social Media Learning Lab will be the focus of Wiley's activities at BEA and will be made up of various stations throughout the Wiley booth for attendees to visit and get hands-on social media assistance from resident Wiley Social Media Scientists.

Attendees at BEA will be able to visit and receive hands on social media assistance from resident Wiley Social Media “Scientists” at the “Social Media Learning Lab” located at stations throughout the Wiley booth (1838, 1839) May 30th – June 1st. Wiley “Scientists” will be available concurrent and following signings and presentations by Authors, Digital Classroom and E-Learning for Dummies allowing attendees to follow up and ask questions at the learning lab stations. This will be an exciting “something for everyone” event targeting both beginners and advanced users (and everyone in between!).

Other Events to Look Forward to at Wiley’s Social Media Learning Lab:

  •     There will be two 15 minute presentations on Digital Classroom, a new partnership in the video training area that features thousands of training videos on technology subjects, a library of more than 50 e-Books, social media interaction, and a site that allows customers to search and customize the learning experience for one-of-a-kind training when they need it, and on whatever device they choose, on both Thursday and Friday. There will be one presentation on Saturday.
  •     There will be two 15 minute presentations on Dummies E-Learning, which are courses that provide self-paced instruction from For Dummies experts, delivered with the famous easy-to-follow, plain-English For Dummies style. With courses ranging from Windows 8 and Office 2010, to HTLM5, digital photography and social media marketing, the For Dummies eLearning Center allows users to develop new skills and learn at their own pace through online courses. The demos will be on both Thursday and Friday and there will be one 15 minute presentation on Saturday.

Come join us for a taste of Wines For Dummies at the Javits Center. A new line of wines named for the world's bestselling For Dummies® reference book is being introduced with four wines from two of the world’s renowned wine producing areas - California and Italy. Wines For Dummies caters to the novice wine-drinker and was developed to make the wine experience easier, yet the wines are nuanced enough for the seasoned oenophile to enjoy.
