A beautiful, Persian classical dancer finds love in the least expected place, the Mojave Desert.
Sheila has it all: a fabulous dancing career, working the Vegas theme hotels. One thing is missing though: romance, love and passion. When she meets Kris Klug under unusual circumstances, she's drawn to the man who sweeps her off her feet literally and figuratively.
She discovers how her connection to Klug is the real deal. So many high-class men wanted her only as a trophy wife. Klug takes Sheila behind the illusions and gets down to gritty survival.
Sheila discovers an authentic and strong side of herself while Klug guides her to safety. She learns how to gain his heart. Is his past something she can help to heal? Or will their dangerous predicament consume them?
All Klug wants is to find a normal, peaceful life again where he can leave the war behind.
The Army discharges Klug without honors. He returns home. In need of a job, he relies on Uncle Fred as one of his only remaining family. Uncle Fred built Empire Trucking, hauling goods between L.A. and Vegas. Eager to retire, Fred passes his legitimate trucking company to Klug.
The dark and dubious FBI Agent Jaeger informs Klug that his uncle may be trafficking drugs on the side and that a gang of thugs may be his suppliers. Jaeger’s boss makes it clear that Klug is expendable because many powerful elitists don’t want Klug to turn into a whistle-blower. This real-life based story thus becomes particularly relevant as whistle-blower Bradley Manning begins court hearings the first of June. Klug unearthed too much information, including detailed evidence about the 9/11 catastrophe.
Unaware that Fred disappeared, Klug takes a bus with 12 other passengers. He plans to meet up with Fred. Just as Klug begins an enchanting discussion with Sheila, a drug gang hijacks the bus in the Mojave Desert, looking for money from a drug deal gone bad.
