Nashua, NH (PRWEB) May 30, 2013
The 2013 Rock’n Ribfest is an annual celebration of barbecued ribs and family-friendly entertainment that was established by the Rotary Club of Nashua West as a fundraiser for local non-profit organizations.
This year, Zco Corporation, a New Hampshire based app development company, is participating as a gold sponsor for the event and is proud to announce that it has also built the corresponding iPhone app for the festival, which will be available in the iTunes App Store prior to the event.
Rock’n Ribfest is scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, June 14, 15, and 16, 2013, at the Anheuser-Busch brewery, 221 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack, NH. Attendees can purchase ribs and other food specialties from a plethora of local restaurants and nationally renowned ribbers throughout the weekend.
Proceeds from Rock’n Ribfest benefit Nashua Rotary West’s giving program, which benefits dozens of local charities, such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, Humane Society of Greater Nashua, Nashua Soup Kitchen, and Meals on Wheels. A complete list of charities and sponsors can be found at the Rock’n Ribfest website.
“As a New Hampshire headquartered company, we are thrilled to be able to give back to our community by doing what we do best,” said Katie Meurin, Zco’s Marketing Director. Zco’s custom-built iPhone app for Rock’n Ribfest provides an event schedule, food and drink guide, driving and parking directions, and other information.
Admission for those older than eight is $10 at the gate, which includes entrance to the grounds, all band concerts, visits with McDonny’s Farm animals, and the stunt air show each afternoon. Tickets can also be purchased in advance at the Rock’n Ribfest website for $7 each (plus $1.25 shipping and handling per order) until June 10. Sunday, June 16 marks Military Appreciation Day at Ribfest. Attendees with an active military ID can receive free admission for themselves and up to four family members.
Scheduled music performers include Beau Badrick, Giving Moon, Gary Hoey, The Pop Farmers, The Psychedelic Relics, The James Montgomery Blues Band with special guests Barrence Whitfield and The Uptown Horns, and The Slakas. There will also be a teen band competition as well as children’s bounce houses, tethered hot air balloon rides, and other entertainment.
The Rock’n Ribfest is also the official site for the NH State Barbecue Championship, in which judges select the NH State Barbecue Champion, who then qualifies for the National Barbecue Championship in the fall.
