The Bottle Board is one of the latest projects to hit Kickstarter, and it’s already received a fair amount of attention due to it practical functions and sleek appearance. Created by Veteran Marine and Eagle Scout, the stainless steel Bottle Board saves the day whether lost in the woods or handing out drinks at a party.

I just wasn’t happy with the look of any of the paracord fastener devices on the market,” said Jeff. “I decided it was time to create something that not only functions well, but has an interesting and appealing design.

The Bottle Board is one of the latest projects to hit Kickstarter, and it’s already received a fair amount of attention due to it practical functions and sleek appearance. Its primary purpose is a 550 cord tightener – and while the creator warns against using in any serious weight bearing application, it can be used to help secure items to vehicles, posts, and more. The Bottle Board also serves as a bottle opener and attractive keychain. It can be carried several ways, including worn on a belt loop or slid into a backpack pocket – making an impression in any way and any setting it is displayed.

It may draw attention in social groups, but the Bottle Board is more than good looks by far. The Chrome finish is reflective, and may be used like a small pocket mirror to catch a pilot’s attention in an overhead plane. So in the unlucky and unlikely event of becoming lost, the Bottle Board may have an opportunity to come to the rescue.

Its stainless steel construction gives strength and durability, but its slim design – 1.75”w x 3”h, and 4mm in thickness – makes the Bottle Board non-intrusive almost anywhere. It is available in two finishes: Chrome with Matte Black, and Black Nickel with White Pearl. It takes inspiration from the ocean, as the main shape is like a surfboard and the ridges are modeled after waves and shark fins.

The Bottle Board is the brainchild of Veteran Marine and Eagle Scout, Jeff Morin. Jeff is no stranger to the manufacturing world, as he has started his own custom challenge coin company – Coins For Anything – in 2002. However this type of product is new to him while manufacturing is not, so Jeff very carefully evaluated each Bottle Board prototype and made small adjustments as needed before launching the project on Kickstarter.

“I just wasn’t happy with the look of any of the paracord fastener devices on the market,” said Jeff. “I decided it was time to create something that not only functions well, but has an interesting and appealing design. I believe I accomplished just that with the Bottle Board, and I know my Kickstarter backers will agree.”
