Semantria has a wealth of open-source application potential for publishers.
Boston, MA (PRWEB) May 30, 2013
Semantria announces a new innovative Open Source Plug-in for WordPress that will assist bloggers, writers, and authors in streamlining their publication processes. As a leader in cloud based text and sentiment analysis, Semantria is excited about the application of its services to a major blogging and publishing platform.
With WP Semantria, the Semantria Plug-in for WordPress, bloggers will be able to connect their WordPress installation directly to Semantria’s API to automatically generate tags and custom taxonomies for their posts. WP Semantria will facilitate an easier and quicker method for contributors of small to medium sized blogs to organize posts into custom-built categories – an important navigational feature for them and their readers. The Semantria integration with WordPress will also result in better content tagging and a rigid taxonomy adherence, which will improve search engine optimization. Semantria’s free trial (https://semantria.com/trial) provides WordPress users analysis of 10,000 articles for free.
The Semantria Plug-in for WordPress, developed by Cameron Terry, demonstrates Semantria’s continued contribution towards the open source community. As an avid supporter of open source projects, Semantria is looking forward to future open source applications of its text analytics functionality, which include:
- Content Summarization
- Sentiment Analysis in five languages (English, French, Spanish, German, and Portuguese)
- Wikipedia Based Categorization with no engine training required
- Query Based Categorization, using Boolean operators
- Named Entity Extraction: people, places, companies, brands, and more
- Content discovery via statistical and NLP methods
- And much more.
“It was great to be able to use Semantria’s API to build and implement an open source plug-in for WordPress that is easy to use and will help improve the overall experience for bloggers and their readers,” says Cameron Terry. “As a text and sentiment engine, Semantria has a wealth of open-source application potential for publishers and with their support it will be exciting to see what developments come next.”
The introduction of WP Semantria for WordPress is a new addition to Semantria’s existing open source applications, which include the recently developed SemantAPI – a tool built to compare different cloud-based text and sentiment analysis engines.
