The Miami-Dade Expressway Authority (MDX) celebrated its 10th Anniversary Small, Local & Minority Business Enterprise Conference. In honor of its accomplishments, Miami-Dade County Mayor, Carlos Gimenez and Chairwoman Rebecca Sosa have declared May 16, 2013 as MDX For Business Day.
The conference was an opportunity for businesses to meet decision makers and forge strong connections to make the most of public and corporate contracting opportunities. Gold sponsors of the 10th Annual Small, Local & Minority Enterprise Conference included, BCC Engineering, Condotte America, EAC Consulting, HNTB and MCM Corporation.

Over 1,400 firms have registered to do business with MDX. For the last 10 years, MDX has been committed to the Small, Local, & Minority Enterprise businesses in Miami-Dade County awarding more than 30 percent of all work to small and local businesses.
The Miami‐Dade Expressway Authority (MDX) is a public entity and agency of the state, created in 1994 by the Board of County Commissioners of Miami‐Dade County. MDX’s Governing Board is comprised of 13 volunteer members appointed either by the Board of County Commissioners and the Governor of the State of Florida. MDX operates and maintains five expressways: SR 112/Airport Expressway, SR 836/Dolphin Expressway, SR 874/Don Shula Expressway, SR 878/Snapper Creek Expressway, and SR 924/Gratigny Parkway.
