National Camp Series (NCS) Associate Chris Shaw of KICKNATION has joined Kicking For The Dream’s effort to fight ovarian cancer according to NFL Kicker, and Kicking For The Dream Founder, Billy Cundiff.
“Chris is a great kicking coach and an even better person," says Cundiff. "Chris's enthusiasm is incredible. We appreciate his support of Kicking for the Dream and his passion for this project."
Shaw says he is eager to support Cundiff in his Kicking For The Dream Project.
“The power of a story is what's inside the story, and when I heard our good friend Billy Cundiff talk at this year’s NCS Super Camp about his mother-in-law, and her long fight with ovarian cancer, I knew that we all had the vehicle to help in this deadly disease and spread her story to help millions more,” says Shaw.

Shaw is an NCS Associate based in Texas. With over 18 years of on the field punting and kicking experience, Shaw has become one of the most sought after kicking, punting, snapping and special teams’ consultants in the NATION. Shaw not only instructs at the college level, but has also worked with over 200 high school coaches to break down the kicking, punting and snapping game.
Shaw is following in the footsteps of NCS Founder Michael Husted, who signed on to Kicking For The Dream earlier this week.
Shaw says he is grateful to be part of Kicking For The Dream’s effort to use sports as a vehicle to help women who are now, and will be in the future, facing ovarian cancer.
“KICKNATION and its team are humbled and proud to be part of helping in the fundraising efforts to aid in the continued research of ovarian cancer,” says Shaw. “Billy is a true testament to utilizing the power of the people. As NCS Associates, each one of us has a database of kids we train and with the kids come family and friends. Through this fundraising effort we will be able to get in front of thousands of people to get this project of Kicking For The Dream to a reality across the country.”

The National Camp Series (NCS) is a nationwide network of expert kicking coaches with NFL and College level playing experience. According to Husted, the goal of NCS is to provide effective instruction on the field and guidance off of the field that will allow student-athletes the ability to leverage their sport to get a college education.

Cundiff, who has been an NFL kicker for over 10 years for teams such as the Cowboys, Saints, Browns, Ravens and Redskins, launched Kicking For The Dream in May of 2013, as an effort to support Colleen’s Dream Foundation, a foundation which raises money to support research for the early detection of, and improved treatment for, ovarian cancer.
He says Colleen’s Dream Foundation started in 2012 as a result of his mother-in-laws’ battle with ovarian cancer.
“Colleen felt it was important to raise money for research that will lead to reliable early detection testing and improved treatment for ovarian cancer,” says Cundiff. “Because so little is known about ovarian cancer in proportion to other women’s health issues, we have an incredible opportunity for research and education.”
Cundiff says he appreciates having Shaw’s support in this effort, and looks forward to working with as many NCS Associates as he can bring to Kicking For The Dream.
“I talked to a number of NCS Associates at this year’s NCS Super Camp and there was a great deal of interest in participating in Kicking For The Dream,” says Cundiff. “I truly appreciate Chris Shaw’s support of this project, and I will be reaching to a number of NCS Associates over the next few months to enlist their help as well.
