"We are pleased that the initial funding target was oversubscribed before finally closing at $535,000."
Vancouver, BC, Canada (PRWEB) May 31, 2013
Mobile security company MobSafety, Inc. announced the successful completion of its initial private funding round today. According to the company's founder and CEO, Nick Murray, "We are pleased that the initial funding target was oversubscribed before finally closing at $535,000. The funds allow us to successfully partner and launch our products into the enterprise platform."
The company, founded in 2009, began as a B2C development shop focused on mobile security apps for iOS and Android devices. Since then, MobSafety has utilized its existing IP to build one of the most robust Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms for the enterprise market.
MobSafety MDM offers businesses control over all mobile devices on their platform. This unique capability effectively allows the company to manage and monitor device security and compliance from inappropriate use with the added inclusion of a safe web browser to ensure that mobile devices are being used appropriately by anyone on their system.
Earlier this year, MobSafety finalized its first licensing agreement with ContentWatch, Inc., an innovative company focused on delivering Internet protection solutions for the consumer, library, education, government and business markets. The company is currently in discussions with several other enterprise partners.
This initial funding will be used to expand the company's customized product offering to further enhance their position in mobile security products for high-risk industry sectors such as healthcare, finance, education and government.
