We all deserve the best possible protection.
Richmond, VA (PRWEB) May 30, 2013
Experient Health will host a series of “Medicare 101” seminars through the summer to help individuals learn more about Medicare, supplemental coverage, advantage plans and health care reform.
The one-hour seminars will be held June 13, July 11, Aug. 8 and Sept. 12 and run from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Virginia Farm Bureau home office at 12580 West Creek Parkway in Richmond.
“We all deserve the best protection possible,” said Brad Spence, a health care consultant with Experient Health.
“We’re hosting these seminars to help answer any questions people have about Medicare Advantage Plans, Medicare Supplemental Insurance, the Part D Medicare Prescription Drug Program and health care reform.”
Private insurance companies sell Medicare Supplemental Insurance to fill in the gaps in original Medicare plans.
“Choosing a Medicare Supplemental Insurance plan can be overwhelming and confusing,” Spence said. “Government regulations allow 12 standardized supplemental plans, labeled Plan A through Plan L and each offers a different set of benefits.”
Where a Medicare Supplemental Plan works in addition to original Medicare coverage, a Medicare Advantage Plan works in place of Medicare and may provide additional features.
