Ultimately the goal is to reach as many people as possible in order to truly unify each other through quality, engaging video. - Michael Wilhelm, Content Director, Videomaker Magazine
Sacramento, CA (PRWEB) May 30, 2013
Videomaker magazine, the premiere source for information on making better video, is holding a contest that will award one recipient two tickets to its first Essential Video Skills Conference on June 28th in Sacramento, CA.
The contest winner will be randomly selected at Midnight (12:00 AM) on June 10th.
Videomaker's Essential Video Skills Conference is a unique event created for video enthusiasts and videographers in the Northern California area and beyond. It is an ideal opportunity to network with the Videomaker editors and other like-minded individuals over a catered lunch with lots of time for Q&A throughout the day.
The itinerary of the event includes segments that cover camera technology, lighting techniques and fundamentals, audio for video, organization of production crews, and shooting techniques and aesthetics.
According to Videomaker Content Director, Michael Wilhelm, the intention of the Essential Video Skills Conference was to “develop an event that catered to the individuals that were interested in the resources offered in the traditional 3-day workshops at our headquarters in Chico, CA, but didn't necessarily have the means to come to us. The purpose of this conference is to instill the same knowledge, information, and resources found in our workshops but condense it into a 1-day format. Ultimately the goal is to reach as many people as possible in order to truly unify each other through quality, engaging video.”
This is the sixth recent sweepstakes from Videomaker. Over the last year, Videomaker has given away an HP Elitebook laptop, a Blackmagic Cinema Camera, an iPhone. An Instructional DVD Library and a GoPro Hero 3 Camera Black Edition. More giveaways are planned for the future.

Founded in 1986, Videomaker was the first magazine to introduce video to a mass, non-industry audience. Though the video field has exploded dramatically in recent years, Videomaker still remains dedicated to its core mission: to encourage aspiring directors and documentarians to use video technology to find their own voices and tell their own stories. Today, Videomaker is more than just a magazine. It's grown to also become a robust online community, offering a full line of training DVDs, videos-on-demand and a series of webinars and hands-on video training workshops. Every month, nearly half a million professional videographers, independent filmmakers, and home video hobbyists turn to Videomaker at http://www.videomaker.com to get the latest video scoops.
