Colorado-Wyoming Chapter of the National MS Society announces today that the largest corporate team to ride in the June 29th and 30th Colorado Bike MS Ride is “Team Stay Fit at Hyatt”. With 3,000 riders in the Bike MS and a total of 201 teams, 75 of which are corporate teams, being the largest is notable.

“Team Stay Fit at Hyatt”, now in their 14th consecutive year to bike and inspired by the slogan: “Help Solve the MS Mystery – One Mile At a Time” will do just that on the two-day, 150 mile trek along the Colorado Rocky Mountain front range. The team is comprised of 200 riders plus nearly 60 volunteers, all Hyatt associates, family members and friends from across the United States. This is the result of a collaborative effort on the part of four Hyatt luxury hotels in Colorado: Grand Hyatt Denver, Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center, Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center and Park Hyatt Beaver Creek. Their commitment last year raised $189,000 for the fight against multiple sclerosis. That brought the cumulative total raised to more than $800,000 since the team’s inception in 2000.

The aggressive team’s leader is Grand Hyatt Denver general manager Greg Leonard who said: “This group of 200 committed individuals will ride a combined total of 30,000 miles for the fight against MS. This year, Team Stay Fit at Hyatt plans to achieve their collective 14 year goal of raising a total of $1 million in the fight against this debilitating disease.”

The team is supported by Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center which hosts a “carb-loading” dinner the night prior to the ride. Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center presents the “Tiki Bar & Grill” tent on June 29th at the overnight-rest stop on the CSU campus in Fort Collins. The tent, which has won accolades as the “best tent”, comes complete with massage therapy, plasma screens, grilled to order burgers, chicken, pasta station and custom smoothies, all served on the spot.

Team Stay Fit at Hyatt Silent Auction June 20th

The fundraising goes beyond the actual ride. In addition to the golf tournament held in May, each year in June, “Team Stay Fit” hosts a silent auction in advance of the ride. That auction is scheduled for June 20th at Grand Hyatt Denver from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. Parking that evening at the hotel is a $5 donation. Auction items include travel, dining, fitness and more.
