Greenberg Traurig Continues to Enhance Life Sciences and Medical Technology Capabilities

International law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has enhanced its life sciences law capabilities with the appointment of existing shareholders David J. Dykeman and David C. Peck as co-chairs of the global Life Sciences and Medical Technology Group. The group is comprised of attorneys from across practice and industry groups who serve the life sciences, medical technology, and healthcare industries, including litigation, intellectual property, technology, corporate transactions, finance, government regulation, global healthcare privacy, real estate, and capital markets.

“The life sciences industry faces new opportunities and challenges in the era of healthcare reform,” said Richard A. Rosenbaum, Greenberg Traurig’s Chief Executive Officer. “The focus on improving patient outcomes and delivering coordinated, quality medical care, while facing increased regulatory and pricing pressures, means life sciences and medical technology companies must develop new business and legal strategies in order to maintain a competitive edge. The co-chairs come from different sectors of the healthcare legal market, but they both bring a wealth of passion and experience to this dynamic market and as practice co-chairs, they will deepen our ability to assist clients at the forefront of life science and medtech innovation.”

Greenberg Traurig’s Life Sciences & Medical Technology Group advises clients ranging from start-ups to large multinational public companies to leading research institutions. The group’s attorneys work closely with clients, providing innovative legal counsel to help them achieve their objectives – from discovery through product marketing.
