Over the past few years our contest has grown to a large yearbook contest with entries from all over the United States that is a real benchmark for the level of creativity and journalistic aspiration in yearbooks today.

Entourage Yearbooks is thrilled to announce the opening of their 4th annual national yearbook contest. All schools using Entourage Yearbooks as their 2013 Yearbook Publisher are invited and encouraged to enter the contest. Last year, the contest included more than 300 entries across the country, and Entourage Yearbooks expects the number of entries to be even higher this year.

"We created this yearbook contest several years ago as a small way to showcase yearbook staffs that went above and beyond in their yearbook design," said Entourage Yearbooks Contest Coordinator, Missy Feinen. "Over the past few years it's grown to a large contest with entries from all over the United States that is a real benchmark for the level of creativity and journalistic aspiration in yearbooks today."

Schools are able to enter the best components of their yearbooks individually into the following categories: Cover Design, Page Layout, and Photography. They are also able to enter their entire yearbook for judging in the Overall Yearbook category, which includes cover, design, theme, photography, writing and more. The grand prize winner is selected from the highest awarded school in the Overall Yearbook Category.

The 2012 Grand Prize was awarded to Carbon Career & Technical Institute from the state of Pennsylvania. In regards to their award winning yearbook submission, yearbook advisor, Michele Klock shared, “I am especially proud of the students' hard work, creativity, and dedication to producing such a high-quality book. I am sure we will continue to improve and build on our achievements from the 2012 edition, and I look forward to what 2013 and beyond will bring!”

Judging of the contest entries is based on a balanced rating across the dimensions of creativity, originality and journalistic relevance. Schools are judged separately at the Elementary, Middle School and High School levels. The judging committee is composed of both expert yearbook journalists at Entourage and invited yearbook experts from across the industry.
