New Awards Won by Premier Dessert Suppliers: Rocky Mountain Pies Bakes their Latest Success in Florida

Rocky Mountain Pies (RMP), having won multiple awards at The National Pie Championships held in Florida this year, has reinforced their reputation of elaborate production and fresh ingredients in the world of quality pastries.

RMP recently travelled to Orlando, Florida for the annual National Pie Championships sponsored by Crisco®, bringing home a few awards to put on their mantle. With bakers from all across the U.S. and Canada, The American Pie Council® awarded numerous participants for their delicious assortments of tantalizing pastries and holiday desserts. As a leader among pie suppliers, the company entered a few new flavors along with some of their classics. With a wide variety of fruit pies and a vast selection of creams, RMP is attempting to change the way people think of quality desserts.

The company won prizes in several categories by bringing new flavors combined with old techniques.

Although the competition lasted over the course of a few days, with hundreds of contestants, the company managed to stand out from the pack. RMP offers fruit pies of all different varieties and creams with a host of different flavors. They entered a varied selection of their renowned pies into the competition. There were a wide variety of categories, including: amateur, professional, and commercial. As such, creativity and ingenuity were not in short supply. With their background as bakers and pie suppliers, RMP won prizes in a number of different categories. From the family categories, they won awards in Cherry and Silk Cream; along with more awards for introducing the new flavors Black Cherry Crumb and Sea Salt Caramel French Silk. They took the prize in three premium categories with their Apple Caramel Crumb, Red, White, and Blue, and their French Silk. These flavors are just a sliver of their entire selection, which includes over 600 types of pie. Finishing the competition with a Gourmet prize for their Sea Salt and Caramel French Silk, made the participants feel ecstatic.

“As a dessert manufacturer, we wanted to prove that our products are truly something that we take pride in,” said Mark ‘Par’ Grandinetti, President of Rocky Mountain Pies. “Competitions such as The National Championships offer us a chance to share our new flavors, and to demonstrate our knowledge and experience.”
