Effective June 1, 2013, General Pacific, Inc. spins-off its Conservation Products Division into a standalone, privately held company, EcoTone Products, LLC. The new entity focuses exclusively on the wholesale distribution of conservation products across the continental United States of America.

EcoTone Products offers a unique set of capabilities supporting the wholesale distribution of products and services related to energy efficiency, water conservation, renewable power, and demand response. EcoTone Products leverages strong manufacturer relationships, technology expertise, and efficient distribution capabilities in supporting customers with their needs for conservation products.

General Pacific identified the need to adjust its operations to accommodate the substantial business growth in its Conservation Products Division over the past 3 years. EcoTone Products was created to continue delivering great conservation product solutions to customers. “We restructured our way of going to market”, states Roch Naleway, General Manager of EcoTone Products, LLC. “We upgraded our organization’s structure and strategy to expand existing relationships and target new markets.”

EcoTone Products, wholly owned subsidiary of General Pacific, has strong roots in working with electric utility customers in the Pacific Northwest. General Pacific is owned by electric co-op utilities located in the Pacific Northwest and has served electric utilities since 1965. “We started distributing energy efficient Rheem Marathon Water Heaters to electric co-op utilities in 2002”, says Rick Hall, CEO and President of General Pacific. The customer base has grown substantially over the years. EcoTone Products serves electric and water utilities, implementation contractors, CAP agencies (Community Action Programs), retailers, as well as commercial clients such as home performance contractors, HVAC-contractors, plumbers and retailers. EcoTone’s focus is to maintain lasting relationships that are mutually beneficial to our clients and our suppliers. “We believe in treating our customer the co-op way: Lots of respect, fair everyday pricing, and excellent customer service”, says Roch Naleway.

EcoTone Products has a successful blueprint in the distribution of energy efficiency products and water conservation products. EcoTone Products retains an extensive product line card that includes many of the most popular brands for solutions in lighting (CFL and LED), water heating, ductless-mini split heat pumps, showerheads, aerators, ventilation fans (ERV and HRV) and more.

EcoTone Products provides a streamlined solution for the creation and distribution of custom energy efficiency kits and water conservation kits on behalf of electric utilities and water utilities. These standardized, custom conservation kits can be configured, packaged, and shipped on behalf of utility companies to homeowners across the United States of America. “We allow for the full customization of the products and packaging of conservation kits. Our customers are not locked in to use a certain manufacturer in their kit configuration” states Emily Bartolme, Marketing Specialist at Ecotone Products. “We also offer our clients the opportunity to create a custom online fulfillment website or e-commerce platform that can efficiently process incoming orders. Offering a diverse set of products and services really distinguishes us in this industry. Since we have such a developed business model, there is a focus on meeting the customer needs and then surpassing them.”

By actively working with clients, EcoTone Products is able to successfully purchase, warehouse and distribute large scale installation programs and product promotions for utilities, contractors and retailers.
