A new company, Bruichladdich UK Distribution Ltd, is created to distribute the Bruichladdich range of Islay single malt Scotch whiskies and The Botanist, Islay dry gin.

Bruichladdich Global Brand Director Douglas Taylor says: “It has been an exciting and challenging journey establishing Bruichladdich in the UK and our distributors have done a fantastic job in growing both Bruichladdich and The Botanist in a difficult climate. We appreciate their input and thank them for their partnership."

“We are looking forward to the next stage in the development of our exciting brand portfolio.”

Gordon & MacPhail will remain an important stockist and wholesaler of all Bruichladdich brands going forward.

Bruichladdich distillery was established in 1881 and much of the original distillery equipment survives with spirit being distilled using traditional artisanal methods.

The Bruichladdich brands are:

  • Bruichladdich (unpeated lslay single malts)
  • Port Charlotte (heavily-peated Islay single malts)
  • Octomore (super-heavily-peated Islay single malts)
  • The Botanist (Islay dry gin)

Bruichladdich was acquired by French premium spirits company Rémy Cointreau in 2012.
