We want guests to walk away having a fun and unique experience to where they can say ‘we remember the Smoky Mountains not because of where we stayed, but where we zipped.
Pigeon Forge, Tenn. (PRWEB) June 27, 2013
Imagine you’re soaring through trees, 450 feet off the ground, the wind in your hair and not a care in the world. No, this is not a dream, nor the movie Tarzan. This is part of the adventure Legacy Mountain, the newest zip line attraction in Pigeon Forge, has to offer.
Formerly known as Adventure Ziplines of Pigeon Forge, Legacy Mountain plans to bring the same great adventure with an updated look, starting with its new seven line tour. Each line averages 2,500 feet in length and totals 4.5 miles long.
With lines averaging nearly 1,000 feet longer than its closest competitor, this Pigeon Forge zipline adventure takes guests above and beyond the lush natural forest of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Guests have a clear sight of Mount LeConte, one of the highest peaks in the Smoky Mountains, all the way to Douglas Dam Lake from their treetop view.
Be on the lookout for native wildlife on your Pigeon Forge zipline adventure as some guests reported seeing deer, turkeys and the occasional black bear playing in the forest below.
“We want guests to walk away having a fun and unique experience to where they can say ‘we remember the Smoky Mountains not because of where we stayed, but where we zipped,’” said Kevin Griffin, marketing director for Perry Smith Developments.
According to Griffin, Legacy Mountain’s zipline tours are more than an attraction, they are an experience. Guests start out with a brief lesson on the dos and don’ts of zip lining safety, after which an ATV takes them to the first tower, then their adventure begins.
Throughout the tour, guests are escorted by two ACCT certified guides and will zip across a total of seven zip lines, cross three swinging bridges and take a short hike through the woods. All the while, they are encouraged to explore the natural wonders of the Great Smoky Mountains.
“Bottom line, if you want an experience that’s not part of your standard vacation and you want it to stand out from everyone else, you’re going to want to come here,” said Griffin.
Legacy Mountain’s Pigeon Forge zipline tours are also perfect for families or church groups who want to experience the excitement of flying through the Smokies together.
