Make a cool new crayon tool for the child's art supplies.
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) June 10, 2013
Make your own crayons by recycling empty glue sticks and broken crayons to turn them into brand new twistable crayons. Note that this crayon activity is for parents to make and kids to enjoy.
Twist up the empty glue sticks all the way and clean away the remaining glue. Take away the wrappers of the broken crayons and place the crayon pieces in cupcake wraps inside a muffin tin. Bake the crayons for about 8 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Carefully pour the melted crayons inside the empty glue sticks. Use extra caution to handle the hot wax. Let them cool and harden for about 6 hours. Ready are the cool twistable DIY crayons.
An awesome crayon art includes the black paper scratch art. Start by letting the kids cover an entire page with batches of crayon marks. Do not leave any white color spaces. Bright colored crayons work the best. Then let the kids brush black poster paint over the crayon page. The kids may find it funny coloring over their art work. After the black poster paint is dry, let the kids have fun using toothpicks or bamboo skewers to edge pictures. The colorful crayon will magically appear in the background.
