By using the CE-marked M1-Mini, our customers can bypass those radio tests and save money and time-to-market for their final products.
Denver, CO (PRWEB) June 05, 2013
SkyeTek, Inc., a leading provider of RFID reader modules for OEMs, today announced that its M1-Mini HF 13.56 MHz RFID Reader Module now carries the CE Marking. The M1-Mini is now approved for sale in Europe without the need for any additional testing by users or integrators, continuing SkyeTek's commitment to providing hassle-free integration for its customers.
CE approval for RFID devices requires that the device must pass CE directives for radio emissions and electronic safety for low voltage devices. The radio emissions directive adheres to the European Radio Equipment and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment (R&TTE) Directive and encompasses standards EN 301 489 and EN 300 330 for high frequency (13.56 MHz) RFID devices. The low voltage device directive encompasses standard EN 60950. Underwriters Laboratories, LLC (UL) completed testing for each standard and affirms that the M1-Mini conforms to all necessary standards for CE certification.
"CE approval for the M1-Mini will be a great help to both new and current customers," said Josh Peifer, VP of Business Development at SkyeTek. "All products which include any type of radio must pass a variety of tests to be legally sold in the EU. By using the CE-marked M1-Mini, our customers can bypass those radio tests and save money and time-to-market for their final products."
The M1-Mini is SkyeTek's best selling RFID module. It is currently embedded into many different types of devices, such as handheld analyzers, test equipment, medical care giving devices, water analyzers, and more. With a one-inch diameter, it is one of the smallest and most versatile HF RFID modules available on the market today.
