Supplier of low cost, high-quality scientific lab equipment, New Hampshire's Marshall Scientific marks one year in business, selling to a worldwide market.

Steven H. Smith, owner and president of Marshall Scientific in Brentwood, NH, announces their first anniversary in business. Marshall Scientific is a dynamic lab equipment reseller specializing in refurbished lab equipment. Launched in February, 2012, Marshall Scientific offers services and products to customers throughout the United States, Canada and overseas.

“One year ago, we opened our doors,” explains owner and President Steve Smith, “and we've been very pleased with the growth of Marshall Scientific in just one short year. We are now working with hospitals, universities, research and private labs in almost every US state and over 15 countries worldwide. We've expanded with new equipment partners as well as offering a large supply of quality, refurbished lab equipment."

Marshall Scientific's stocked inventory consists of many manufacturers of centrifuges, autoclaves, balances, thermal cyclers, pipettes, microscopes, freezers, mixers, incubators, chillers, analyzers and much more. The e-commerce website,, is updated daily. The Ebay store tends to have lower priced items and the Youtube channel demonstrates many instruments in stock.

“When I first started the company, our warehouse had just a couple of tables and some machines. Now, the warehouse is filled with equipment, on racks, from floor to ceiling, with a large testing and reconditioning area. We have almost one thousand pieces of equipment,” exclaims Mr. Smith. “Additionally, our e-commerce site is a big hit with the customers. We anticipate a continued, steady increase in business due to our personalized service, competitive pricing and repeat business.”

Marshall Scientific was founded with the cost conscious consumer in mind, providing quality lab equipment that can keep up with today’s ever growing medical, pharmaceutical and R&D organizations' needs. In today’s economy, it is essential that companies with limited resources have the capability to acquire the necessary equipment to accomplish their research goals. For example, a brand new analyzer may cost $22,000. Marshall Scientific will refurbish and calibrate that identical piece of used equipment, and sell it for about $8,500. Marshall Scientific refurbished equipment sales prices are generally 30 to 70 percent off manufacturer's new prices. Mr. Smith strategically housed his warehouse and business in New Hampshire, a more affordable state to run a business, to further save his customers' money.

Marshall Scientific specializes in selling high-quality refurbished laboratory equipment as well as new and demo equipment. All equipment is reconditioned for a wide variety of laboratories including public and private companies, educational institutions, and hospitals internationally. The Technical department refurbishes and tests each instrument before shipping and comes with an extended warranty. Marshall Scientific purchases unneeded laboratory equipment from companies looking to recover capital for their assets. Marshall Scientific supports and contributes proceeds to The One Fund, Dana Farber and the American Cancer Society.
