CN will be giving several presentations at Turbo Expo and a "sneak preview" of their new ORC product line.

Concepts NREC (CN), a world leader in turbomachinery design and development, providing engineering services, advanced CAE/CAM software manufacturing services and turbomachinery education programs, is looking forward to a successful and influential contribution at the ASME Turbo Expo - June 4-7 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. Not only will the company be giving a sneak preview of its forthcoming ORC (Organic Rankine Cycle) product line, but many of its senior leading figures will also be delivering not-to-be-missed presentations. Concurrently, CN will also be exhibiting at the Engine Expo 2013 in Messe Stuttgart, Germany, June 4-6, 2013, Hall 3 - Stand 3536.

Technical Paper Presentations at Turbo Expo
Now in its 58th year, the ASME Turbo Expo conference has a well-earned reputation for bringing together the best and brightest experts from around the world to share the latest in turbine technology research, development, and application.

With this in mind, Dr. Nick Baines, Distinguished Corporate Fellow at Concepts NREC, will be both Session Chair and keynote presenter at the ‘Turbocharging the Internal Combustion Engine’ tutorial taking place on June 4 (10:15-12:45). Dr. Baines’ 30+ years working in the turbomachinery field has garnered him a wide and deep knowledge of the associated designs and applications. He has published five books and many professional papers on turbomachinery topics, and received numerous awards for his work.

Later the same day (14:30-17:30) at the ‘Turbocharger Concepts and Systems’ session, Dr. Xuwen Qiu, Director of Corporate Technology and Meanline Development/Associate Corporate Fellow at Concepts NREC, will be presenting a paper he co-wrote entitled “Designing Turbochargers with an Integrated Design System”. Dr. Qiu has a PhD in Mechanical, Aerospace & Manufacturing Engineering from Syracuse University and is a former Lead Design Engineer at General Electric.

Exhibitor Stage Presentation
The following day (June 5, 13:00) will see Dr. Colin Osborne, Sr. Vice President of Software/Chief Engineer at Concepts NREC, take to the Exhibitor Stage to present the latest developments and upgrades to the company’s CTAADS™ (Cooled Turbine Airfoil Agile Design System) software.

“In today’s economy, the pressure to produce the utmost in performance is unrelenting, yet budgets are limited and speed to market is ever more critical,” says Dr. Osborne. “Turbomachinery development is no different. Our customers rely on our software to design new and improved products to remain competitive in a global marketplace. As such, we continually develop our software to reduce design cycle time and cost while also raising the bar on quality.”

All event visitors are invited to stop by Booth #613, where they will receive a warm welcome along with the opportunity to discuss any aspect of turbomachinery. Booth visitors will also gain a sneak preview of the company’s ORC platform, which enables cost-effective power generation from geothermal, biomass, and solar thermal power systems, as well as from a wide range of industrial waste heat sources.

Concepts NREC has origins dating back more than half a century, and today offers a one-stop resource for all things ‘turbomachinery’. Whether the requirement is for engineering design, development or testing, educational/professional courses or training, CAE/CAM design/analysis software, or manufacturing services, Concepts NREC has the resources and solutions to help.
