Missguided launches their global high summer TV and brand campaign using the hedonistic and Balearic island of Ibiza as the backdrop.
The latest integrated TV commercial and brand campaign from Missguided personifies exactly why the brand is going from strength to strength right now. Shot on the sundrenched island of Ibiza – a hedonistic and enviable backdrop for the heavy-hitting high summer collection, exclusive to Missguided.
The campaign showcases the extensive and forward thinking range created by Missguided for their high summer product offering. Style stars featured include embroidered detailed denim shorts, varsity inspired sports tops with a hit of high octane shimmer, hot tropical print dresses, Bohemian-loving lace, crochet pieces and matching tribal print separates. Oil-slick pencil skirt, statement neon’s, leatherette dungarees and Crop Tops from Missguided also feature and are just an introduction to what can be found for when the sun goes down and the parties start.
For swimwear; swimsuits good enough to eat saw retro pick n mix favourites splashed all over them – nick-named by the Missguided design team as ‘The body-swim’, they can be worn as both swimsuits and bodies. Perfect for pool to sundown.
To showcase the differing looks and trends of the high summer collection, the Missguided crew took to 3 different locations around the island in search of the perfect backdrop for each aspect of the range.
The first? An iconic red vintage Mustang left a cloud of sand in its path as it sped over the cliff tops overlooking the magical and mystical rock of Es Vedra. Surrounded by the sparkling turquoise waters, the three models drove over the dusty desert land in the car last seen being draped over by supermodel Kate Moss for an international fashion campaign. The white lace of the Bohemian pieces and gentle tie dye created a vintage rock n roll vibe against the red of the car as the girls hung out in the dusty landscape whilst the odd coloured powder bomb was set off, all in the name of creating a visual treat.
Onto the next, the team headed to the island’s resident waterpark where the swimwear took centre stage. Filled with kamikaze slides, tubes and bright walls, it was the perfect vibrant backdrop for the delicious printed pieces as the models played around with water inflatables and cooled down with some refreshing ice lollies. A couple of all leather outfits provided juxtaposition against all of the bikini-clad holiday makers milling around the park as one of our models explored the amusements.
Finally, Ibiza’s most exclusive private house nestled in the hills made for the perfect space to showcase a mix of the most key Missguided designs. An eye-catching techno tribal inspired two-piece, a super sleek cut out jumpsuit and a tropical print bardot dress provided a bright contrast against the models sun kissed skin. Disco balls were casually scattered in the pool, glistening in the sun whilst 2 models took it in turns to dive into the pool to be filmed by our underwater camera. As the sunset against the dramatic backdrop, the last light of the day bounced off an array of sequins, embellishments and oil-slick PVC for the perfect end to Missguided’s Summer 2013 Campaign.
