Silicon Valley Innovator and Entrepreneur to Guide Audioair® Product Development

Durango, Colorado based Airborne Media Group, Inc. (AMG) announced today that Naveen Gupta was elected to AMG’s Board of Directors, effective immediately. Naveen is a product innovator, entrepreneur and executive with broad experience across Internet, mobile and cloud. Most recently he served as Chief Product Officer at RingCentral, a leading Cloud communications company, backed by Sequoia Capital and Khosla Ventures. Naveen has enjoyed an extensive career in management roles at Yahoo, Monster, UTStarcom and Nortel.

Airborne Media Group is the creator of Audioair®, the ground breaking technology and mobile app that enables users to selectively listen to muted television displays in private and public environments to create socially interactive communities.

AMG Chairman and CEO Cordell Brown commented, “Naveen has demonstrated throughout his successful career that he can recognize disruptive technologies, more importantly, lead teams to launch winning products and rapidly scale businesses.” He added, “Bringing Naveen onboard represents a critical milestone in our plan, to deliver a world-class solution for a problem all of us are familiar with - we make it possible to connect millions of mobile devices to millions of muted television displays creating both unique and shared user experiences.”

Naveen described his decision to join the AMG Board, “I met Cordell and team at TechCrunch Disrupt, and instantly loved the idea of unmuting digital displays. The fact that I can now go to a sports bar, watch a Lakers game on a big screen, use the mobile app to listen to audio and engage with friends in an immersive experience – this technology has so many applications from public venues to your living room. What we saw in Minority Report may be a reality soon!” He added, “I’m excited to join the Board and guide AMG to commercialize this seminal technology.”

Airborne Media Group, Inc. is a privately held corporation founded in 2010. Its newly invented technology called Audioair® is designed to deliver an entirely new entertainment, news and information distribution experience by permitting the users of mobile devices to listen to televisions in all types of venues where they must be muted for noise considerations. A key feature of Audioair is the engagement of mobile device users through a powerful second screen experience called the Audioair Network. The company has created and is expanding a team of strategic partners to further develop its technology and achieve its ambitious sales and marketing goals.

Naveen Gupta was Chief Product Officer at RingCentral, and was responsible for product strategy, design, management, and marketing.
