“Partnering excellence is a key ingredient in Verizon’s many impressive accomplishments, and a critical competency if you want to thrive in the technology industry and the business world at large,” said Jack Pearson, acting CEO of ASAP.

The Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals (ASAP), the world’s leading professional association dedicated to the practice of alliance management, today announced that it has added technology leader Verizon Communications to its Global Member base.

A Dow 30 company, Verizon is a global leader in delivering wireless and wireline communications services and technology solutions—including cloud, security and machine-to-machine—to consumer, business, government and wholesale customers. The company operates the nation’s largest 4G LTE network and largest, most reliable 3G network, in addition to an expansive fiber-optic network in the United States and a global IP backbone that spans 2,700 cities in more than 150 countries across six continents.

“Our broad portfolio of partners helps us deliver leading industry-specific solutions that are transforming the way our clients conduct business,” said Janet Schijns, vice president of medium business and channels for Verizon Enterprise Solutions. “Alliances have long been central to our business, and ASAP’s strategic partner expertise will allow us to raise the bar even higher.”

As an ASAP Global Member, Verizon will be able to:

  •     Access the most current tools, methodologies and processes for alliance strategy and execution
  •     Certify its alliance management employees and enable them to apply modern-day techniques and thinking to the company’s alliances
  •     Participate in unique networking events with other leading companies from IT and across other industries
  •     Allow its partners to sample some of ASAP’s benefits so that they do their part to achieve company objectives
  •     Appoint a representative to ASAP’s board and help chart the direction of the association and the profession as a whole

“Partnering excellence is a key ingredient in Verizon’s many impressive accomplishments, and a critical competency if you want to thrive in the technology industry and the business world at large,” said Jack Pearson, acting CEO of ASAP. “ASAP is the premier destination of the organizations around the world that are most proficient in their alliance capabilities, and Verizon is a strong addition to our community of companies who continually push boundaries in their collaborative ventures.”
