In becoming a member of this Coalition, Liquid Technology is in a better position to help support the RERA so new standards can be initiated and enacted in this important and growing industry.
New York, NY (PRWEB) June 03, 2013
Liquid Technology, an Inc. 5000 IT asset management company and one of the Top 100 Businesses in New York-Northern New Jersey-Long Island, NY-NJ-PA, is pleased to announce that it has recently become a member of the Coalition for American Electronics Recycling.
Although the U.S. electronics market is the largest in the world, the country's electronics recycling industry has long had an unregulated infrastructure which has ultimately led to the increased practices of unrestricted and unfair trade in electronic scrap with developing countries. The Responsible Electronics Recycling Act (RERA) provides the regulatory framework required in order to fix the system and promote fair and expanded trade in electronics commodities, while encouraging American recyclers to invest in the personnel and processing plants necessary to legitimize and grow this vital industry.
“At Liquid Technology, no-landfill e-waste recycling and EPA-compliant disposal play an integral role in the environmental scope of our business services. The Responsible Electronics Recycling Act is representative of our long-held philosophy that proper e-waste recycling can help foster domestic job growth while protecting the country's security interests and improving our overall sustainability. Because of this, we fully support this important initiative and feel that being a member of the Coalition for American Electronics Recycling is a perfect fit for our company,” said Richard Greene, Managing Partner for Liquid Technology. “In becoming a member of this Coalition, Liquid Technology is in a better position to help support the RERA so new standards can be initiated and enacted in this important and growing industry,” Greene added.
