All of us here at Digital Sports Group are proud we've had the opportunity to work with The PFA to give the fans a fantastic and unique fan resource for Grant Holt.
(PRWEB UK) 7 June 2013
Digital Sports Group today announced that The PFA Facebook fan page of Grant Holt has broken the 21% daily growth barrier making it the fastest growing Grant Holt page on Facebook. The Facebook page has become a thriving hub for the Norwich striker since its launch and now boasts a vibrant and rapidly growing community of fans. The Facebook page along with Grant Holt player profile on football.co.uk provide the only online location of the official PFA biography, lifetime stats, news and high resolution gallery.
Holt played for a number of non-league and professional clubs, notably making nearly 100 league appearances for Nottingham Forest before signing for Shrewsbury Town in 2008 where he became top goalscorer, from Shrewsbury he signed for Norwich in 2009.
The move was an immediate success: in the 2009–10 season, Holt finished the season winning the Norwich City Player of the Year award, after scoring 30 goals in 44 appearances for the club (24 in the league) and was one of the leading scorers in Football League One.
In the 2010–11 season, Holt continued to be a prolific scorer, and was runner-up in the League player of the year awards.
Holt's goals helped Norwich to promotion to the Premier League and in his first season in the top division Holt scored 15 goals, making him second only to Wayne Rooney as the league's most prolific English goalscorer.
Head of Operations at DSG, Matthew Tait had this to say “Grant Holt really has no shortage of fans after his performances for Norwich this season and we can see that by the success of his PFA Facebook page.”
“All of us here at Digital Sports Group are proud we've had the opportunity to work with The PFA to give the fans a fantastic and unique fan resource for Grant Holt.”
