Green energy is energy that comes from resources which are continually replenished such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, waves and geothermal heat. About 16% of global final energy consumption comes from renewable resources. With climate change concerns coupled with high oil prices, and increasing government support, renewable energy in all forms is trending towards mainstream discussion and usage.

Green energy is propelling forward as major corporations like Walmart and Google are choosing to use resources efficiently and support renewable power. Even Starbucks holds sustainability as a core value. The Southern Green Living Expo and the National Green Energy Council share rooted purpose in acknowledging and enhancing further developments in green energy. This partnership comes at a perfect time as renewable choices are progressing into everyday communication.
