Fleetwood Mac is back. Their first tour since 2009, a 47-date trek, hits the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado tonight, then heads for Texas, Florida and Georgia.

Iconic 60’s band Fleetwood Mac is on their first road trip in four years, a 47-date coast-to-coast North American trek.

After playing to a packed US Airways Center crowd in Phoenix last Thursday, the tour hits the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado tonight, June 1, 2013.

The group’s Fleetwood Mac Live 2013 tour opened April 4 in Columbus, Ohio. After Denver, it heads for the American Airlines Center in Dallas on June 4; Toyota Center in Houston on June 5; Tampa Bay Times Forum in Tampa on June 7; BB&T Center in Sunrise on June 8; Phillips Arena in Atlanta on June 10; Joe Louis Arena in Detroit on June 12 and Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois on June 14.

Upcoming gigs are slated for the Spokane Arena in Spokane on June 29; Rose Garden in Portland on June 20; Staples Center in Los Angeles July 3; Viejas Arena in San Diego on July 5; and a U.S. wrap at the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento July 6. The group has also booked a performance at the LG Arena in Birmingham, United Kingdom for September 29, 2013.

It has been 45 years since Fleetwood Mac’s first album, and 35 years since they band released their best-selling Rumours album, which has sold over 20 million copies in the U.S. to date. Fleetwood Mac Live 2013 is the band's first tour since 2009. Initially the group booked 34 dates. But due to intense demand, they added another 13 dates from mid-June through early-July, including a previously-announced headliner at JazzFest.

While not promoting a new album, the road trip comes on the heels of the massive reissue of their 1977 classic album Rumours, which includes previously-unreleased live and studio material, and a DVD of the 1977 documentary The Rosebud Film. The band is also rumored to have recently cut two new songs that may make it onto the tour’s playlist.

According to press notes, the group began rehearing for the tour on February 15, and has indicated a desire to take their latest road show worldwide, with both festival and regular concerts in Europe and a 15-city Australian visit planned after the North American dates.

There’s no indication that songstress Christine McVie, who retired in 1998, will rejoin her former band-mates. But at this time, it is believed that the rest of the ‘Rumours’-era lineup – including Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood – will show.

Both Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham released solo albums and toured last year. The band itself hasn’t released an album since 2003, but for fans, there is always hope.
