“The fact that businesses are already expressing an interest in purchasing buildings in our new Portland zone shows how valuable the commercial space is," says Vladimir Skigin.

Portland, a new St. Petersburg commercial space in the works by Satellit Development, has already begun to generate a buzz from local companies and residents. The strategically planned area is poised to have a positive impact on the community, thanks to its proximity to all of the city’s major ports.

The fact that the space is named Portland is no coincidence. Portland is conveniently located approximately 10 kilometers away from St. Petersburg’s Sea Port, River Port, and the sea residence of Russia’s president. Moreover, it is just 3 kilometers from the most modern port of all: the Pulkovo airport.

“Because of the short distance to and from popular shipping hubs, Portland is a great location for new business development in St. Petersburg,” said Vladimir Skigin, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Satellit Development. “The fact that businesses are already expressing an interest in purchasing buildings in our new Portland zone shows how valuable the commercial space is.”

The demand for commercial space has never been bigger as St. Petersburg continues to grow and develop. In addition to industrial and manufacturing space, a large portion of Portland will be designated for retail businesses. The restaurants and shops will be an asset to the other company’s employees, as well as the St. Petersburg community at large. Between being adjacent to Ring Road and nearby train stations, Portland will be accessible to visitors by boat, train, plane, and car.

The Portland project is located in the southwest of St. Petersburg in the Krasnoselskoye region. Construction will be completed with not only functionality, but also aesthetics in mind, with no building exceeding 40 meters in height.

“With St. Petersburg acting as the trade gateway to Russia, it only makes sense to develop more space for our businesses that rely on trade,” said Vladimir Skigin. “Portland will be a wonderful addition to the city of St. Petersburg.”
