Mac or PC? It’s a question posed by many technology users and consumers, sparking love, loyalty, and feuds. Before deciding on a Mac or a PC, single males may want to take into account how it may affect their love lives.

A new study by dating website, WhatsYourPrice.com, revealed the relation between your operating system and your sex (and love) life. The study examined the dating habits of 32,000 single adult males. It found that though PC users were the most generous daters, those who preferred Mac were the Casanovas of the tech world, with the average Mac user doubling the monthly date average of PC.

“Technology has become deeply rooted to the intimate parts of our lives,” say Brandon Wade, Founder and CEO of WhatsYourPrice.com. “Like clothing or accessories, many singles use their choice in technology to create a certain image for anyone looking in.”

PC users are the most generous daters with an average first-date offer of $148.46, while Mac users averaged $125.22. However, Mac users went on the most dates with an average of eight dates per month compared to PC’s four date average.

Oddly enough, it isn’t Mac, but PC users are the most promiscuous between the two, averaging about 4 sexual partners a year.

Additional information on the study

The study gathered data through WhatsYourPrice.com and a poll we were able to cross reference to see who was a Mac or PC user. It was able to monitor how much each male was offering for a first date. Using the member’s information, the study tracked how many dates on average each male went on each month based on accepted offer and a supplementary poll. To gage their promiscuity, WhatsYourPrice.com polled the same 32,000 members with the following questions over the course of six months:

-How often do you have sex?
-When was the last time you were physically intimate?
-How many different sexual partners did you have this year?

The overall study was conducted from over the course of a year.

“PC users like flexibility, both in the technologic and romantic sense. Users tend to upgrade or trade-in their technology for new models yearly,” says Wade. “In the dating world, PC users are more promiscuous because they are looking for the most bang for their buck.”

WhatsYourPrice.com is the only dating website where singles can bid on a chance at a first date with other singles, also known as “attractive members”. These generous members provide incentive for the first date, as well as footing the bill for the date itself.
