OsirisMethod.com has just released their first feature product, The Osiris Method: The Ultimate Starcraft 2 training program. This guide has been six months in the making and is now finally available for eager fans.
The Osiris Method is a Starcraft 2 training program and is the first of its kind in the Starcraft 2 realm. Rather than focus on strategies and tactics, The Osiris Method provides a practice regimen designed to increase the rank of players who follow the practice drills.
The ladder ranking system in Starcraft 2 has long been a source of frustation for players. The way the system works is that all players are consistently ranked based on their wins and losses. As players win and beat higher ranked opponents, their rank increases. If they lose games, particularly to lower ranked opponents, their rank will fall.
The Starcraft 2 ranking system is constantly trying to find the right rank for players so that they are evenly matched against their opponent. Players can expect to win about 50% of their games, no matter what their skill level. Players are also acutely aware of their exact rank at any given time and constantly strive to increase this rank.
The problem is that playing against players of an equal skill level is not always the most efficient way to get better at Starcraft 2. The end result is stale rankings that do not improve over time despite regular practice. It is not very fun or motivating for players to spend hours on end playing games of Starcraft 2 without seeing a rank increase.
The Osiris Method seeks to break this cycle of non-advancement by providing an effective practice regimen that players can follow to reliably increase their Starcraft 2 rank. Rather than playing ladder games repeatedly (as is oft the advice for those seeking a rank increase), The Osiris Method provides alternative practice options that players can use to rapidly increase their skill and rank in Starcraft 2.
The practice regimen is broken down into a 5-10 week program and asks players dedicate 10 hours per week to the program. If players can only dedicate 1-2 hours a day (or 1 weekend day) to Starcraft 2, the program takes about 10 weeks to complete. Those who can dedicate more than 10 hours a week will be able to get through the program in as little as 5 weeks. Once the program is complete, there is a continued practice program in place that allows players to continue to improve their Starcraft 2 skills and ranks.
The Osiris Method is now available for download at OsirisMethod.com. More details on the product can be found on their website.
