Phoenix Unequaled Home Entertainment announces today their recent selection as a 2013 Mark of Excellence Systems Platinum Award winner for Home Theater/Media Room Project of the Year, presented by the Consumer Electronic Association's (CEA) TechHome Division.
Winners were announced at the 2013 International CES at an awards reception on January 9, 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Lamar Gibson, a Sales Engineer with Phoenix, was present to receive the award on behalf of the company headquartered in Memphis, TN.
“The homeowner desired to have the best possible viewing environment, audio / video gear and user experience possible. Phoenix was up to the task. Through an engineering process that covered all aspects of the desired scope of work, we were able to provide what we would consider to be the best home theater possible. CEA’s recognition of these efforts brings great pride and satisfaction to the entire Phoenix team. Having been recognized as a CE Pro Top 100 dealer for the past 14 years, we are honored to receive this award and recognition," said Fuelling.
Designed by Phoenix, the Southern Comfort Theater is located in Memphis, TN. The theater incorporates the ability to experience various types of entertainment content including content from localized digital media servers, digital media steaming from the Internet, high definition broadcasts and all platforms of computer and video gaming consoles. A collaboration between Phoenix and Cinema Design Group International provided room acoustical treatments, an interior design theme complimentary to the existing decor and style of the rest of the home as well as fabrication and installation of the interior elements.
“We worked hand in hand with Cinema Design Groups team to ensure the interior of the theater was on par with the reference grade electronics designed for the room. As always, CDGi delivered," said Scott Fuelling, President of Phoenix Unequaled Home Entertainment.
The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)® Mark of Excellence System Integrator Awards program recognizes the best in custom integration and installed technology. The winning theater was reviewed and selected apart from many other competing designs by a variety of experts including manufacturers, members of the trade press and systems integrators. This award distinguishes the installation of the best entertainment system and considers the entire project from the initial design to the execution of the finished theater.
